Introducing Procore.org: Empowering the Construction Industry and Beyond
A few years ago, we initiated an employee-led eavor that began as a modest side project but quickly blossomed into a comprehensive program engaging over 100 higher education institutions worldwide.
The goal was to provide our software for free to universities educating the next generation of construction professionals. Our pilot program at California Polytechnic State University sparked interest, leading to an expansion across other schools offering degrees in construction management. Today, Procore is utilized in more than 130 universities across six countries, including Australia, the UK, Germany, Canada, and others.
Witnessing the impact of our work with universities ignited a wave of enthusiasm among our employees to do more with our software for the betterment of the construction industry. I am thrilled to announce that we will continue our efforts to positively influence the construction sector through Procore.org.
The mission of Procore.org is to empower the construction industry and the communities it serves.
Through this platform, we will expand our educational partnership with universities worldwide, equipping future construction professionals with knowledge and skills necessary for their careers. However, education doesn't in the classroom. We'll provide best practices trning through free online courses on non-Procore-specific topics like safety and professional development to support the growth of skilled labor and tradespeople.
We're also collaborating with nonprofit organizations such as Habitat for ity, Home for Our Troops, and AGC Charities by offering Procore access to their projects. These groups are dedicated to building and rebuilding housing and infrastructure in local communities.
To amplify the impact and reach of Procore.org, we welcome input from industry partners on how to align our efforts with specific universities, courses, nonprofits, or impactful initiatives. If you're interested in collaborating, visit Procore.org and suggest a university, course, non-profit, or cause that our values.
We believe that empowering the industry through education, trning, and technology will advance construction practices and have positive outcomes for the people and communities it serves.
