Jiangxi Agricultural University's School of Vocational Education and Technology
Since the year 1992, Jiangxi Agricultural University has been addressing the shortage of vocational teachers in rural areas of Jiangxi Province by enrolling students for agricultural teacher classes during September. This eavor led to the establishment of the Department of Vocational and Technical Education in March 1991, which later developed into the Vocational Teachers School in September of the same year. Following its inception, the institution was further bolstered with the creation of the Jiangxi Rural Vocational Education Research and Teacher Trning Center in 1993. In April 1999, the establishment of the Vocational and Technical College marked a new chapter. The school has since been operating under an innovative management model: Vocational Teachers School alongside its dual function as Vocational Technical College. This setup allowed for a seamless integration of teaching activities and administrative responsibilities.
In May 2000, Jiangxi Agricultural University was bestowed with the honor of being designated as one of China's National Key Construction Vocational Teacher Trning Bases. This distinction was an affirmation of the school’s commitment to excellence in teacher trning and its pivotal role in enhancing vocational education standards across the country.
Over the years, from September 1993 onwards, the School has successfully offered a total of nine undergraduate majors including Agronomy Education, Horticultural Education, Livestock and Poultry Production Education, Agricultural Product Storage and Processing, Accounting, Agricultural Economy and Management, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Technology, Computer Application Technology, amongst others. Since its inception in 1999, the school has also introduced twenty-one higher vocational majors such as Food Processing Technology, Installation Agriculture Technology, Floral and Environmental Decoration Technology, Applied Electronic Technology, Computer Application Technology, Modern Urban Landscaping.
In response to evolving educational demands starting from 2013, the School decided to discontinue all its three-year specialized majors and introduced new undergraduate majors such as Educational Technology, Agronomy Education, Digital Media Technology, and Digital Media Art. Presently, the school offers a first-level discipline program of Pedagogy, second-level discipline programs in Vocational and Technical Education and Educational Technology, a master's program for Educational Management at the second level. Furthermore, there are five national, provincial, or university platforms including but not limited to the National Key Construction Base for Vocational Teacher Trning.
The faculty members at our School comprise highly qualified educators with a robust mix of expertise in their respective fields. Currently, there are forty staff members on campus including six professors and thirteen associate professors, alongside eleven individuals holding doctoral degrees. The school has also made significant strides in nurturing young talent by designating three young and middle-aged academic leaders as well as young backbone teachers from Jiangxi Province.

Through continuous enhancement of undergraduate specialty groups centered around Educational Technology and Digital Media Art, we seek to enrich the master's program landscape in educational technology, elevate the quality of talent trning, and strengthen our contributions to society.
